This review is really for this specific version of the ap itself. I have had an on/off subscription to this magazine, which I love. However, the app itself is absolutely horrid now. I dont know which issues I have downloaded and which I havent, and I have to scroll individually month by month to look at older issues. Why fix something that aint broke? I subscribe to about 5 other magazines on my ipad and none of them have a browsing format like this. With good reason, too. This is not user friendly. At least give us the option to browse the way you have it, but also a standard way where we can see multiple covers/months at once.

I used to love using this app, but this version is very confusing and lacking. I have had a subscription for over five years and have never had a problem. Now, I cant even figure out where to sign in to access my subscription. My only option is to purchase individual issues...that I already paid for with my subscription. I am very disappointed!

Too many magazines are moving to this very unfriendly interface. Why dont they think about the customers that are converting to digital subscriptions due to loss of eyesight? All theyre doing is making it harder and harder to read the content were paying for. At some point, theyll just start losing customers when the app becomes completely unusable.

I am yet another print customer who has lost all of my previously loaded magazines, and have no access to my subscription online. It was nice not having to bring my paper magazine to Dr.s appts, restaurants, the bathroom...wherever. Thanks for attempting to double dip your customers Mental Floss.

Publisher no longer offers digital version with subscription - requires separate purchase, If you’ve already downloaded the original app you’re screwed as iTunes will keep refurbishing original app and not allow you either purchase thru them or totally remove original app. You can remove app from your device but if you try to install new one to purchase digitally it reloads app you originally got and there is absolutely no way (according to Apple and iTunes) to remove any app permanently from your file once you’ve downloaded it. Print prices are good but I thought most people prefer to save paper and resources by going digitally. Not a consumer friendly publisher.

So I guess this is one of those publications that even if you already get the print version you have to pay for a digital subcription? No freaking way. I like the magazine, but not enough to pay twice. And the app itself? Ugh. What made them think that people want to read like that. Deleted. Bleh.

I love this magazine and have subscribed for the past several years. I especially enjoyed having a print edition with the digital edition available when I travel. I get that the digital edition is no longer included with the print subscription, but with this latest update, all of my past digital issues -that I paid for with my print subscription because they were included- were removed! Come on! Bad form, Mental Floss! Bad form!

All of my old magazines, when I use to be a subscriber, were removed and now I dont have access to them. Very unfortunate and dishonest. I will never consider another subscription.

Goodbye Mental Floss. Add me to the dearly departed who wont subscribe to your magazine AT ALL. I was happy to have the digital option with my print subscription for years. But add me to those who wont pay a premium for digital editions when paper edition is still cheaper. I guess Ill "Feel Smarter" not paying more for less.

I love the articles. But I cannot access current issues no matter how often I unlock my subscription. Please fix!

For a magazine that has in its family The Week, which is another fantastic magazine, I am sooo disappointed. I have a print subscription and expected to have a digital version, like I have with The Week. Apparently, that is not the case, you have to purchase the digital version separately. I love having both mediums. I often forget to grab the print, but I can always read on my device. I love the magazine, but do not like this app.

My attempt to load this app resulted in a permanent "installing" message under the Mental Floss icon on my iPad. I cannot delete it. Like Schroedingers cat, it is both there and not there. I cannot recommend against installing this app strongly enough. Do not do it. Just. Dont.

I have subscribed to this mag since its inception. The digital option was really nice. It was suddenly cut off with no notice, and their tech support cant be bothered to respond to inquiries. I wont be renewing my subscription in either medium.

They may have fired all developers because there is no tech support. A person who downloads the app will regret the lost minutes of life. This app is the two-fisted soup sandwich of sandwiches, the baloney pop-tart of breakfast foods. Its the toilet trout of fish. Its as if they set out to produce the worlds most awful app ever. It may have been programmed by Ms. Greens kindergarten class because they were sick of finger painting.
